전형적인 카르페 디엠이었어요. 저 문장만 놓고 볼 땐 이런 건 줄 몰랐다고요.
카르페 디엠은 원래 고3 입시반 교실에 붙어있는 지금 열심히 하란 소리가 아닌 것 정도야 다들 알고 계시죠. 어차피 우린 죽어 無로 돌아갈 것이지만 이 짧은 인생에서 좋은 건 다 누려야 하지 않겠느냐고, 그러니 죽어 시들기 전에 지금의 찰나를 즐겨보자는 좋은 소립니다. 바로크 시대의 아름다운 미학적 전통이었죠. 죽음에 경도된 문화에선 꼭 저런 찰나를 즐기는 문학이 등장하죠. 동시에 죽음 모티브를 띤 그림이며 연극들이 우후죽순 등장하고. 에도 시대 보세요. 소네자키 신쥬.
